Visualizing VO Success In The New Year

12/15/2021

(This recently published video can be found on YouTube & on the Such A Voice blog)
This video is all about the power of visualization and the role it can play in your overall voice-over career success. Some relevant questions you may want to take into your creative visualization practice are:
  • What do I want my career to look like?
  • In this ideal version of my voice-over career, what kind of projects am I working on?
  • What genre do I specialize in?
  • What does a typical day’s schedule look like?
  • Am I auditioning a lot?
  • What kind of projects am I auditioning for?
  • What kind of projects am I working on?
  • Who am I working with?
  • What does my dream booth look like?
  • And most importantly, what does voice-over success FEEL like for me?

We tend to respond emotionally to our daydreams. That’s because the brain and the nervous system get activated by imaginary events in the same way that they get activated by real events. So, the more we can feel a certain way in our imagination, the more we can get used to that feeling in our daily lives. Through the practice of visualization we can prime our bodies and minds for success.

This video was specifically created for voice actors and those working in the voiceover industry, yet it can be applied to any career and any area of your life where you'd like to experience change and/or growth.
